Rick A. Del Giudice

Managing Partner

Rick Del Giudice is the managing partner of the firm. After beginning his career as a CPA (Ernst & Whinney, 1980-1983), Rick joined the firm in 1983 as a law clerk, became an associate in 1985 upon law school graduation, and was made a partner in 1992. Rick leads the firm’s litigation practice area, concentrating on business litigation and counseling, and has substantial experience providing legal and business counseling to clients in a vast array of industries.

Rick regularly appears in federal and state courts, at arbitration hearings, and before administrative agencies. He has extensive trial experience handling claims involving contracts, shareholder and partner disputes, antitrust, securities, fraud, restrictive covenants, tortious interference, construction, franchise termination, fiduciary duty, conspiracy, employment, insurance, health care, real estate, legal malpractice, director and officer liability defense, intellectual property and other commercial areas.

Rick has for decades received the highest review rating from his peers for ethical standards and professional ability, earning an AV Preeminent Rating® from Martindale-Hubbell®.  In addition, Rick was named one of the Leading Lawyers of Illinois in 2021 (a recognition he also received every year since 2014), based on a statewide survey of lawyers. Leading Lawyers comprise less than 5% of all lawyers in Illinois.   In addition, Rick was named an Illinois Super Lawyer for 2021, the tenth consecutive year he received this distinction.  The Super Lawyers award is based on peer reviews and evaluations, and fewer than 5% of all lawyers in Illinois receive this distinction.
